Do you feel bad for low-class, “ghetto” people in America?

I used to feel bad for everyone (in America) who was living in low-class areas, but after working in a small store in the ghetto for 8 years… I think it’s appropriate to say i feel bad for people who are currently struggling financially BUT also try to make something out of their life with good attitudes. On the other hand, I HATE low-class, ignorant people who have the money for the flashy jewelry, beer, drugs, expensive clothes (that they probably stole, lol) and all this other sh*t but don’t have money for the necessities of living.

I feel bad for the “ghetto” people who are only low-class because of some event that ruined their life (like a natural disaster, or one of their main money-makers died), but are still trying. I hate the people who don’t try at all, that use the money that they get from the government to buy things that they definitely don’t need (like a sports car or a pool) when they have taxes, and I really hate it when kids at my school, who get a free lunch because they are “low-income”, get junk food and only eat half of it. My family has to actually pay for food, and it hurts us financially when we spend about 200$ a week to buy enough food to pay the for 5 of us. Don’t get me wrong, my parents combined make 210k a year, but it still sucks because they had to go through many years of school to get where they are now. My dad, who is a very successful businessman, came from a family with little money, but he worked his but off to get some money at a very young age so he could go to school, then he got tons of loans just so he could pay for his future schooling. When these “low-income” people complain how it’s too hard, then they aren’t trying. I’m blessed that my dad worked his butt off to give him, and his family he has now, a good life. Don’t get me wrong, as I said before, I feel bad for the people who are trying, but they don’t get anywhere. Those are the people I donate to and they are who I cook food for and invite into my family’s house.
